Fall Gem Shows

Sept. 6-9  (Tucson) Our world-famous, winter "gem show" has spawned a smaller cluster of "fall gem shows," including both wholesale gem and lapidary shows and open-to-the-public bead shows. Cochise County Fair

Sept. 14-15-16  (Douglas) Old-fashioned carnival, with midway games, contests, food and gift vendors, 4-H exhibits. Cochise County Fairgrounds, (520) 455-5553.

Jazz Jam 2007

Tucson Greek Festival

Sept. 20-23  (Tucson) Greek cultural experience, with homemade food, music and dancing, and imports. Proceeds help support the church and its charitable works. St. Demetrios Orthodox Church, (520) 888-0505.

Great Tucson Beer Festival

Sept. 22  (Tucson) Benefit event for Sun Sounds of Arizona features more than 200 beers from 50 brewers and live music for ages 21 and over, with discount pricing for designated drivers. Hi Corbett Field, Reid Park, (520) 296-2400.


Sustainable Garden Tour

Sept. 23  (Tucson) Tour three community sites offering information about sustainable gardening in the desert, including water harvesting, seed saving, and garden design tips. 8 a.m.-noon. Native Seeds/SEARCH, (520) 622-5561.


Nightfall: Resurrection

Tucson Oktoberfest
