Our Easy Exit Listing Agreement!

1% of all Realtors do 90% of the real estate business! This is a national statistic put out by the NAR *National Assoc. of Realtors. That's a scarey thought! Not just for us Realtors not in that 1% but moreso for you consumers! Do you realize what that means? If that was a statistic among national banks - YIKES! Can you imagine the lousy service and high fees for the little guy? Just my opinion of course.
We aren't members of that multi-million dollar 1% club. So we don't lock our sellers into long contracts with retainer fees Our listing contracts are for 3 months. After 3 months we (our seller and the two of us) sit down and go over our strategy to determine where we need to change: lower price, add incentives, market a wider area, etc. Then the seller either renews or not. We put control in our seller's hands! After all, it's his/her home!
All our listing contracts are Easy Exit Listing Agreements. That means that either party; us or our sellers, can terminate the contract at any time, for non-performance or unsatisfactory performance of any of the terms listed on the listing agreement by either ourselves or our sellers. The contract goes away free and clear upon written notification by the severing party to the other party. Yes, e-mail is good enough. Should this ever happen, we will part ways and wish our seller well.
